Inspiration Alright,all this talk about gimme cats and THIS is the costume?! Before your heart sinks into the floor lemme just say my obsession with gimmecat's came before the actual costume. Before I had even a stitch of costume making experience (hurr hurr) I decided to rush this costume for AniMagic 2002, my first REAL anime convention. The construction is mostly felt glued all over the place and obviously noob work. But...it was hilariously fun! Nobody but me actually got the costume and I ended up taping a picture of a real gimmecat to my hip. The whole thing just smacks of NOOB NOOB NOOB but it was a great experience for my first anime convention. Looking back on it now I'm like: 'arrr what was I thinking!' but hey, it was a great learning experience and it was a great place to start.

Maybe someday I'll ressurect the dream and make a better costume, but for now I'm quite satisfied with this disaster of felt. ENJOY!
