Process Very simple outfit. Sewed the yellow dress out of a pretty golden yellow fabric from a regular ol' dress pattern. Instead of sewing the straps on I doubled the length on each end so it could be tied together in a bow. The maryjane shoes I found on ebay as well as the wig. The head clips I crafted of sculpy, painted, and then glued to regular hair clips.

Inspiration I've always thought Asuka was a neat character. By no means perfect. Her flaws are right there in the open for our scrutiny. She's spoiled, superficial, loud, demanding...just about everything we find annoying in characters. We later learn that her attitude is a defense mechanism to a very vulnerable soul. I find her path of inevitable self destruction tragic, and yet at the same time endearing. She's got spunk and I think she brings the most entertainment to Evangelion. ;]
